Till Death Do us Part
Updated: Oct 9, 2019
Modern society has turned its back towards this most fundamental issue. For most people out there, death is something to be feared, to be dreaded, or it is seen as just the absence of life – a void of emptiness and stillness. Death has even come to be considered somewhat “artificial.”
So, I ask you what is Death?
Is it just extinction, a lapse into nothingness? Or is it the doorway to new life, a transformation rather than an ending? Is life nothing more than a passing phase of activity preceded and followed by stillness and nonexistence? Or does it have a deeper continuity, persisting beyond death in some form or other?
Death is a painful truth and Life, a beautiful lie. Death is the source of life and something that should be embraced, its the cycle of live paves way for the new and regeneration.
Death is a destination we all share. Yet, no one wants to die; funny enough not even those people who want to got to heaven want to die. No one has ever escaped it...and neither will you.
Try and imagine what it will be like to go to sleep and never wake up......Think about that....my friends it is one of the great wonders of life; fighting and resisting life does not help you. Let go of the struggle, relax, trust the magic in your destiny.
"To die well is to have lived well" is a saying that takes on great meaning.
If our life is filled with being caught in the restraints of pain and suffering, then our life doesn’t have the same kind of meaning as if we live in freedom. Knowing that we have to die, I am determined to live my life properly, deeply. If we aren’t able to live with peace, joy, and freedom before we die, then we live as if we are dead already. So, live each day as if it is your last. The tragedy of life is not death but what we let die inside us while we live.
I have come to know that death is an important thing to keep in mind — not to complain or to make melancholy, but simply because only with the honest knowledge that one day I will die I can ever truly begin to live.....you can either live your dreams or live your fears and I think majority of the people are not living their dreams but living their fears. You have to understand that people don't choose dreams; dreams choose them.
My friends, planes more safer on the sky than they are on the ground because they are made for flying just like every person is made for living their dream. It's amazing how many fritter their lives away, focused on trivial values, convinced that it is other people who realize their dreams, telling themselves there is always tomorrow… they are missing the value of the moment and awareness of what a mind-boggling gift it is to have a life in the first place.
I am sure many of you might ask, "If we all die then, what is the point of life?".
Who knows, if this daily pondering were to lead you into making the most of your life and a true appreciation of the smallest details, incidentally your awareness may eventually open to the extent that you will genuinely embrace the idea of the afterlife; perhaps you’ll even find yourself looking forward to the transition.
The only thing that is certain in life is death and I cannot give you a certain answer, only you can answer that for yourself.
